New adidas Team GB football shirt - London 2012

The official design won't be released until Spring 2012, but we will be among the first to reveal the inaugural Team GB football shirt. Historically, Great Britain home nations have stood by and watched other nations enjoy Olympic success. Given the home advantage, and the guaranteed hype surrounding the choice of manager and players then we're expecting this adidas Team GB football kit to be at least as popular as the umbro England kit that will be worn during Euro 2012.

Argentina won in Beijing 2008 with a very young team, showcasing an impressive new crop of talent. Whether TeamGB will select with the same criteria remains to be seen, but it's a tournament, and it's here, so interest will be mandatory.

Premier League Patches - A Short History

Before the Premier League, the English Football league used a sleeve patch from 1989 to 1992, but since the inception of the Premiership then the patches have been supplied commercially by Chris Kay (Fuseon / Lextra patent technology) and subsequently from around 2007, SportingID (Sencilia).

There have been several different versions of the patches released onto the marketplace:

1992-1996 version

1. Lextra material (players)

2. Plastic material (retail / general use)

3. Fabric version *this was normally only used for the players using adidas shirts, where the iron-on Lextra or Plastic versions would not heat seal reliably over the adidas 3-stripes on the sleeve. (eg. Newcastle).

Subside have stocked all versions at one time or another, but we always encourage people to keep to the Lextra or Sencilia players versions where possible. There are a lot of older reproduction (sometimes fake) versions available online, but it is unlikely that the FA will allow official reproduction of the older styles.

New Germany Womens Football Shirt

Boca Juniors football shirt 2011

Boca Juniors shirt for 2011. Nike keeping with the lighter blue rather than the traditional navy colour. Two options were released, this replica shirt and a higher tech players fabric version.
